Welcome to Texas Beta! 

 Letter from the President:  

Welcome to the Texas Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi. Thank you so much for visiting our website. We are about to start our second year in our brand new home at SMU. Our alumnae worked tirelessly over the past few years to make this dream home a reality and we cannot thank them enough!  

This fall is full of exciting Pi Phi events.  We will host the annual Mr. University event - a fun, male pagent contest that has become a tradition at SMU.  It will be held at SMU's McFarlin Auditorium on November 18th at 7pm.  If you are an incoming freshman, this is a great opportunity to come meet some of the Pi Phi "angels" on campus.  (You'll be able to spot us wearing our wings and halos!)  This is not the only place you'll find Pi Phis though.  This fall, Pi Phi women are the President of the Senior Class, the SMU Union President, and the Relay for Life Chair.   We are the reigning Sing Song Champions and Homecoming Queen First Runner-Up.  Whether you are in the library or out on the dance floor, you will find that you are surrounded by angels!  

This past year, SMU recognized the Texas Beta chapter of Pi Phi with two Paideia Awards.  These are the top Greek Awards given out on SMU's campus.  Pi Phi won the Fraternal Relations Award and the Outstanding House Corporation Award.  Our chapter was also ranked "Beta" nationally, a recognition we are very proud of. 

Awards and recognitions aside, it is the experiences I've had with the wonderful women in this house that has made Pi Phi special for me.  My experience at SMU as a Pi Phi has brought me many memories and life-long friendships that I will cherish forever. Pi Phi has made my college experience complete, and if it weren’t for Pi Phi, I wouldn’t be the person that I am today.
