A Welcome from our President:
Welcome to the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi! Thank you so much for visiting our website! We have had a very exciting year here at the University of Arkansas. This past summer, we were awarded the Balfour Cup, an award given to the best chapter in the fraternity, for the third year in a row! 2009 is also our Centennial Celebration on campus. Arkansas Alpha was established at the University of Arkansas in 1909. Our alumni are working with the University for a very special gift they will be giving us this fall on October 23 though the 24. It is a very exciting time to be an Arkansas Alpha!
Last fall was filled with many activities on campus. We hosted our 3rd Annual Pi Phi/ASG Family 5K. Through these fundraising efforts, we were able to raise over $9,000. We hosted a Spaghetti Supper in November, where we had members of the Razorback athletic teams participate in the Speed Read event for First Book. Our chapter raised almost $7,000 from the Spaghetti Supper and Speed Read Event.
Being a Pi Phi at the University of Arkansas has brought so many great friends and opportunities to me. It has enhanced my collegiate experience in more ways than I could have ever imaged. Through our values of integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service, and sincere friendship we are able to achieve such great things.
