A Welcome from our President:
Welcome to the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi! Thank you so much for visiting our website! We have had a very exciting 2009-2010 year here at the University of Arkansas. This past summer, we were awarded the Balfour Cup, an award given to the best chapter in the fraternity, for the third year in a row! 2009 was also our Centennial Celebration on campus and the groundbreaking of the new Centennial Arkansas Alpha gate on the University of Arkansas campus.
Last fall was filled with many activities on campus. We hosted our 3rd Annual Pi Phi/ASG Family 5K. We also hosted a Spaghetti Supper in November, where we had members of all Greek organizations participate in our speed read. During this past spring semester, we hosted our annual Arkansas Phinest Fashions for Philanthropy and continued our participation in Greek Life events.
At the 2010 April Order of Omega Award Ceremony we were awarded the Panhellenic Community Service Award for our fundraising efforts and our dedication to the Fayetteville community, alike. Also at the Award Ceremony, Arkansas Alpha chapter won the Panhellenic Achievement Award and the Order of Omega Award of Excellence. We are so thrilled about being recognized for our many achievements and to continuing to be leader on the University of Arkansas campus and in our Greek Life Community.
Being a Pi Phi at the University of Arkansas has given me so many great friends and opportunities I will cherish forever. I know the other members of Arkansas Alpha would also say Pi Beta Phi has enhanced their collegiate careers in many ways too. Through our values of integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service, and sincere friendship we are able to achieve such great things together. We are looking forward to summer break and coming back and having a wonderful and accomplished fall semester. Please feel free to contact us at any time and enjoy looking at the Arkansas Alpha website.
Yours In Pi Phi,
Alex Gooch
