Letter from the President:
Welcome Angels and
friends to the California Eta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at the University of
California Irvine!
We are so
thrilled to see that you have taken the time to come to our website to learn
more about what Pi Phi is and has to offer! I am so proud to serve California
Eta as the 38th Chapter President since 1974, and cannot wait to see
what heights our chapter will reach this term! Becoming a member of Pi Beta Phi
has undoubtedly changed my life in so many ways than I could have ever
imagined. It is remarkable how the contributions of our active members and
alumna of Pi Phi can form lasting sisterhood, cultivate leaders, and
continuously inspire each and every one of our members. As the first national
secret college society of women to be modeled after the Greek-letter
fraternities for men in 1867, Pi Beta Phi has created a foundation that is
based on the ideals of women leaders. I am extremely proud to call each of
these women my sisters because they make me the woman I am today, and hold the
ideals of the future.
Being a Pi
Beta Phi is not just joining the typical sorority. Here in Pi Phi there are not
only opportunities for leadership, social advancement and philanthropic service
to our community here in Orange County, but it is a place where we are forming
lifelong friendships and where bonds of wine and blue can tie sisters of any
age, university, or alumnae club from coast to coast! Each of our members takes
something great out of Pi Phi to help shape her own experience, and it is my
goal to help them pursue their dreams and enrich their experience at UCI!
Here at Pi Phi our sisterhood comes
first and our love for each other is what makes this chapter so special to me.
I never knew I would be involved in Greek life during my time at UCI, but now I
would not have had it any other way! The endless support, opportunities,
guidance and unique friendships are what consistently reminds me of how honored
I am to be serving this chapter of Pi Beta Phi.
