Welcome to the Nebraska Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln! We are thrilled that you have taken the time to look at our
website and can’t wait to show you what being a Pi Phi is all about.
Being a Pi
Beta Phi is more than just being a member of a sorority, it is a chance to
become a part of life-long unity and friendship. With football games, formals,
and philanthropic and sisterhood events, Pi Phi's calendar is always overflowing
with exciting things to do. But each member has the ability to make sorority
life her own. Pi Phi values leadership, academics, service, intellectual
development and balance in our members. Many
of us are involved in extracurricular activities such as academic honor
societies, student government, Greek Ambassadors, UNL Dance Marathon, Mortar
Board, UNL Honors program, and others hold internships at various companies. Not
only do we encourage you to be involved with Pi Phi, but we also urge you to participate
in other activities that will make your education at UNL a memorable experience
while being a Husker.
Becoming a
member of this sorority has challenged me to grow as an individual in a way
that I never could have imagined. I remember how nervous I was while
anticipating recruitment my freshman year, and if you told me then where I
would be today, I never would have believed you. Since joining Pi Phi, I have
taken on leadership roles and have been given the opportunity to get to know
and be surrounded by a group of women who support and encourage me to live up
to my full potential. I have learned the
value of being a part of an organization so much bigger than myself, and I
sincerely appreciate the way in which Pi Phi and my fellow sisters have shaped
my college career into one that has prepared and inspired me to pursue my
future dreams with confidence. Being a Pi Phi has helped shape who I am today.
It is both a privilege
and an honor to serve as President of the NE Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi at UNL.
Regardless of our majors, our interests, or our hometowns, we share a bond beyond
that of friendship and closer to that of family. We invite you to continue to
