Pi Beta Phi Announces 2017–2019 Grand Council

ST. LOUIS – August 1, 2017 – Pi Beta Phi® Fraternity for Women is pleased to announce its 2017–2019 Grand Council: Grand President Paula Pace Shepherd; Grand Vice President Collegians Alison Veit Heafitz; Grand Vice President Alumnae Amy Lorenzen Southerland; Grand Vice President Communications Jenn Plagman-Galvin; Grand Vice President Finance Emory McGinnis Eison; Grand Vice President Membership Rae Wohlhueter Maier; and Grand Vice President Programming Marla Neelly Wulf.

“Our new Grand Council members live the core values of Pi Beta Phi each and every day, and I am confident they will continue to advance the mission and vision of Pi Beta Phi,” said Pi Beta Phi Fraternity/Fraternity Housing Corporation Executive Director Juli Willeman. “I am excited to welcome them to Grand Council and embark on the adventures of a new biennium with them to ensure Pi Beta Phi remains a premier organization for women.”

Grand President Paula Pace Shepherd: Paula served the Fraternity as a Traveling Graduate Consultant (now Leadership Development Consultant) and then taught elementary school for more than 10 years. She mentored collegians as an Alumnae Advisory Committee member as well as collegiate regional team member. Paula then served as Director Extension and Grand Vice President Membership. She most recently completed her second term as Grand President. Paula and her husband own and manage Roanoke Animal Hospital. She resides in Roanoke, Texas.

Grand Vice President Collegians Alison Veit Heafitz: Alison continues her role as Grand Vice President Collegians for the 2017–2019 biennium. Alison has served the Fraternity in supporting our chapters and the ongoing education of our members as Collegiate Regional Management/Policy Specialist and Collegiate Regional Director. In addition to her Pi Beta Phi service, Alison volunteers for other education organizations. She resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Grand Vice President Alumnae Amy Lorenzen Southerland: Amy has served the Fraternity as Collegiate Regional Membership Specialist and Alumnae Regional Programming Specialist. She most recently served as Director
Membership providing direction and leadership toward the development of a comprehensive membership plan emphasizing recruitment, education and retention. Amy is a Systems Analyst for T Media Sales. She resides in Cary, North Carolina.

Grand Vice President Communications Jenn Plagman-Galvin: Jenn most recently served as National Panhellenic Conference Third Alternate Delegate. She has served the Fraternity in various roles within chapter support including as a Resident Leadership Development Consultant and Collegiate Province President (now Collegiate Regional Director). Jenn is Director of Operations for the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University. She previously served as the University’s Assistant Dean/Director of Greek Affairs. She resides in Ames, Iowa.

Grand Vice President Finance Emory McGinnis Eison: Emory provided direction and leadership toward the development and maintenance of successful, productive chapters as a Collegiate Regional Director. She previously served as a Collegiate Regional Programming Specialist. Emory is a Quotations Manager at Spectrum Lighting & Controls. She resides in Collierville, Tennessee.

Grand Vice President Membership Rae Wohlhueter Maier: Rae continues her role as Grand Vice President Membership for the 2017–2019 biennium. Rae previously served on Grand Council as Grand Vice President Finance and has also served the Fraternity in various chapter support and Fraternity Housing Corporation roles. Rae brings a professional background as the owner of a residential and commercial rental property company. She resides in Fort Wright, Kentucky.

Grand Vice President Programming Marla Neelly Wulf: Marla continues her role as Grand Vice President Programming for the 2017–2019 biennium. Marla has served the Fraternity in various alumnae support roles to drive programs and activities that result in assuring the health and wellbeing of alumnae clubs. Marla brings a professional background as a middle school administrator and instructional leader. She resides in The Woodlands, Texas.

In addition, Grand Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Pi Beta Phi’s National Panhellenic Conference Delegation for the 2017–2019 biennium.
