Pi Beta Phi Announces Grand Council, Foundation Board of Trustees and Fraternity Housing Corporation Board for 2019–2021 Biennium

Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is proud to introduce the 2019–2021 Grand Council: Grand President Marla Neely Wulf; Grand Vice President Collegians Emory McGinnis Eison; Grand Vice President Alumnae Amy Lorenzen Southerland; Grand Vice President Finance/Housing Lisa Gamel Scott; Grand Vice President Fraternity Growth Alison Veit Heafitz; Grand Vice President Community Relations Jenn Plagman-Galvin; and Grand Vice President Member Experience Jamie Feist Daniels. 

Grand Council officers were elected by collegiate and alumnae delegates at the 72nd Biennial Pi Beta Phi Convention, held June 28 through July 2, 2019. Their positions reflect a new organizational structure, also adopted at convention, designed to better serve the needs of Pi Beta Phi and its members. Grand President Marla Neelly Wulf, Kansas Beta, enters her term as Grand President after serving Pi Beta Phi as the previous Grand Vice President Programming. In addition, she has served as Alumnae Regional Director and Alumnae Regional Programming Specialist, driving programs and activities that promote encourage the success of Pi Phi alumnae clubs. Marla brings a professional background as a middle school administrator and instructional leader. She resides in The Woodlands, Texas.

Grand Vice President Collegians Emory McGinnis Eison, Mississippi Beta, most recently served Pi Beta Phi as Grand Vice President Finance. She provided direction and leadership toward the development and maintenance of successful, productive chapters as a Collegiate Regional Director and Regional Programming Specialist. She works in the quotes department at Clear Advantage Lighting and lives in Rossville, Tennessee.

Grand Vice President Alumnae Amy Lorenzen Southerland, South Dakota Alpha, continues in her role for the new biennium. She has served Pi Beta Phi as a Collegiate Regional Membership Specialist and Alumnae Regional Programming Specialist. Before becoming a Grand Council officer, she served as Director Membership and led the development of a comprehensive membership plan emphasizing recruitment, education and retention. Amy is Director, Integrated Systems at T Media Sales and lives in Cary, North Carolina. 

Grand Vice President Finance/Housing Lisa Gamel Scott, Colorado Alpha, comes to Grand Council after serving as the previous Fraternity Housing Corporation President. Lisa has served Pi Beta Phi in a variety of roles, including FHC Treasurer, President and Treasurer of the Foundation Board of Trustees, Chair of the Gatlinburg Study Committee and as a Traveling Graduate Consultant (now Leadership Development Consultant). Her professional background includes investment banking and nonprofit management specializing in finances, fundraising and policy. She makes her home in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Grand Vice President Fraternity Growth Alison Veit Heafitz, Illinois Zeta, previously held the role of Grand Vice President Collegians. Alison has served Pi Beta Phi by supporting chapters and member development as a Collegiate Regional Director and Collegiate Regional Management/Policy Specialist. Her professional background includes experience as a congressional aide on Capitol Hill and a Senior Analyst at the Government Accountability Office. Alison lives in Silver Springs, Maryland. 

Grand Vice President Community Relations Dr. Jenn Plagman-Galvin, Iowa Gamma, most recently served as Grand Vice President Communications. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi’s National Panhellenic Conference Delegation and served as a Collegiate Province President (now Collegiate Regional Director). Jenn is Director of Operations for the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University and was previously the university’s Assistant Dean/Director of Greek Affairs. Jenn lives in Ames, Iowa.

Grand Vice President Member Experience Jamie Feist Daniels, Montana Alpha, joins Grand Council after serving Pi Beta Phi as a Collegiate Regional Director and Collegiate Regional Chapter Operations and Advisors Specialist.  Jamie is Customer Success Director at Dun and Bradstreet, where she’s also worked as an Account Manager and Program Manager. She resides in Bozeman, Montana.

Pi Beta Phi is also honored to introduce the volunteer leaders who serve on Pi Beta Phi Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Fraternity Housing Corporation Board of Directors. 

The Board of Trustees is led by: 

  • President Kate Blatherwick Pickert, Kansas Alpha;  
  • Vice President – Finance Janice Worthington Lisko, Oklahoma Beta;   
  • Vice President – Development Kathy Wager Sprague, Alabama Gamma; and  
  • Secretary Gina Garrison Jones, Nebraska Beta. 

They are joined by fellow Trustees: 

  • Terre McFillen Hall, Ohio Alpha; 
  • Jennifer Windell Hazelton, Virginia Eta; 
  • Mary Jane Buchele Johnson, Illinois Eta; 
  • Leslie Magnus, New Jersey Alpha; and 
  • Cindy Rice Svec, Kansas Beta. 

The FHC Board of Directors includes: 

  • President Brenda Balkunas Wirth, Wisconsin Alpha; 
  • Treasurer Suzette Thompson Farrar, Colorado Delta; 
  • Secretary Alisa Brooks Rudlang, Minnesota Alpha; and 
  • Carol Inge Warren, North Carolina Beta. 

Grand President Marla Wulf and FHC President Brenda Wirth serve as ex-officio members of the Board of Trustees, and Grand Vice President Finance/Housing Lisa Scott serves as an ex-officio member of the FHC Board.
