Pi Beta Phi Elects 2015–2017 International Officers  

ST. LOUIS – July 10, 2015 – Pi Beta Phi® is excited to announce its 2015–2013 Grand Council elected at Pi Phi’s 70th Biennial Convention held in Chicago, Illinois. Grand Council members serve as Pi Phi’s executive board and are responsible for developing the strategic mission of the Fraternity. Grand Council held their first meeting directly after convention and plan to meet again in August to engage in a strategic planning weekend led by the Fraternity Leadership Development Officer, Lisa Masters.

The 2015–2017 Grand Council:

Grand President Paula Pace Shepherd is a Texas Epsilon from North Texas University. This is Paula’s second term as Grand President. She previously served as the Grand Vice President Membership and Director Extension. Paula calls Keller, Texas, home.

Grand Vice President Collegians Alison Veit Heafitz is an Illinois Zeta from the University of Illinois and is a new member of Grand Council. She has most recently served the Fraternity as the Collegiate Region One Director. Alison currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Grand Vice President Alumnae Diane Bielman is a California Eta from the University of California, Irvine, and is serving her third term on Grand Council and her second as Grand Vice President Alumnae. She has served the Fraternity previously as Grand Vice President Communications and Collegiate Region Eight Director. Diane resides in Howe, Texas.

Grand Vice President Communications Julie Carney is a Texas Beta from the Southern Methodist University and is also serving her third term on Grand Council and her second as Grand Vice President Communications. She has served the Fraternity previously as the Grand Vice President Programming and Collegiate Region Four Director. Julie resides in Washington, D.C.

Grand Vice President Finance Cara Ballard Sutcliffe is an Illinois Beta-Delta from the Knox College and is serving her third term on Grand Council and her first as Grand Vice President Finance. Cara has most recently served the Fraternity as the Grand Vice President Collegians and Collegiate Region Three Director. Cara currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Grand Vice President Membership Rae Wohlhueter Maier is a Kentucky Beta from the University of Kentucky and is serving her fourth term on Grand Council and her first as Grand Vice President Membership. She has held the Fraternity positions of Grand Vice President Finance, Director Membership, Director of Collegiate Membership and Director Finance. Rae currently calls Fort Wright, Kentucky, home.

Grand Vice President Programming Marla Wulf is a Kansas Beta at Kansas State University and is serving a second term on Grand Council. Marla previously served the Fraternity as Alumnae Region Four Director. Marla currently resides just outside of Houston, Texas.
