UIFI 2015 Scholarships Story

Pi Beta Phi Increases Number of UIFI Scholarships

Published On: 2015-02-27

Thanks to the generous support of Pi Beta Phi Foundation, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity is pleased to announce a record-breaking 25 scholarships for Pi Beta Phi collegiate members to attend the 2015 Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), a program of the North American Interfraternity Conference.

UIFI is a five-day institute that brings together fraternity men and sorority women from across North America to create opportunities to explore, define and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to their fraternity or sorority and grow to expect values-based action from themselves and those they lead. At UIFI, participants are given the skills to improve their own leadership abilities and positively affect their chapter, council and community. The institute is interactive, fun, challenging and intentional. During a session, participants experience hands-on interaction, experiential activities, discussion time and personal reflection time. There is considerable focus on the positive aspects of fraternities and sororities in addition to important discussions about issues that threaten our future. UIFI participants will develop their own unique personal plan of action and be challenged to make a commitment to leading positive change within their organization.

Pi Phi scholarships will cover the registration cost ($460) and up to $300 in travel-related expenses. Each scholarship candidate must be a collegiate member in good standing and financially current with her chapter and Fraternity. Any interested applicant must submit an online application no later than Monday, March 30, 2015 at 5 p.m. CST. Questions about UIFI Scholarships offered by Pi Beta Phi may be directed to Shawn Eagleburger, Member Services and Programming Director, at shawn@pibetaphi.org.
