Pi Beta Phi Mourns the Loss of Afghanistan Terrorist Attack Victim

Published On: 2014-01-20

Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is deeply saddened by the news that one of our sisters was killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan that killed 21 people on Friday, January 17. Lexie Kamerman, Illinois Beta-Delta, was working at American University in Kabul as a student development specialist.

Lexie attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and was initiated into Pi Beta Phi in 2006. She served as the chapter’s Vice President of Membership as well as on several committees.

The Fraternity is truly devastated by the news of her death. She will forever serve as an inspiration to the sisters of Pi Beta Phi as she was working to better the education of women in Afghanistan.
