Washington Beta Returns to WSU Campus!

Published On: 2014-10-17

Pi Beta Phi is excited to announce the reestablishment of its Washington Beta Chapter at Washington State University October 10–12, was an incredible success. We are thrilled 169 women accepted their bid, which means the chapter is already at campus total. In keeping with Pi Beta Phi’s focus on literacy education, the weekend kicked off a literacy themed open house. Members from the Washington Gamma Chapter at the University of Puget Sound and Idaho Alpha Chapter at the University of Idaho assisted a team of Fraternity officers, Headquarters staff, Resident and Traveling Leadership Development Consultants and AAC members with Preference Parties Saturday. The New Member class was pledged on Sunday morning and a Bid Day celebration lunch was held immediately following. Sunday activities included attendance by many supportive alumnae.

Throughout the next eight weeks, New Members will participate in Pi Beta Phi’s New Member Education Program, which is administered through the Fraternity’s award winning values-based programming, Leading with Values®. The New Member Education Program serves as an orientation to the organization for New Members and prepares them to become valuable members of Pi Beta Phi. The New Members will be supported by two Resident Leadership Development Consultants on campus throughout the year.

The Washington Beta Chapter at Washington State University will host its initiation January 24, 2015. Initiation Weekend information will be available on the Upcoming Events page in early November. Be sure to like the Washington Beta Chapter’s Facebook page, too.
