A letter from our president...

My name is Alice Ward and I am honored to introduce myself as the president of the Missouri Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi. I am constantly inspired by the passion for this organization that brings together so many women with such diverse interests. The largest challenge I face every day is being able to justly represent and emulate all of the amazing qualities that the girls in this chapter bring to the table. If not for them, I would never have developed the confidence to face this challenge and proudly lead as I do today. I strive to give to these girls what I have gotten from Pi Phi: an intangible and frankly indescribable sense of belonging, acceptance, support, and a truly unforgettable college experience. The environment created by such an eclectic group of women does not necessitate conformity to a certain stereotype that is often associated with sorority life. Instead it facilitates each person to find her own place in Pi Phi while exploring the myriad of opportunities presented. Just as our members stand out as individuals, we stand out as a chapter in the scheme of the larger Greek community at WashU. We are recognized for high academic achievements, host campus-wide philanthropic events, and are highly involved in extracurricular activities. I am so grateful for the experience that I have had over the years and am so excited to watch more people fall in love with Pi Phi and to see how we grow as a result. Thank you for visiting our site!
