Volunteer with an Alumnae Club

An alumnae club serves numerous roles in the Fraternity. Aside from being a wonderful way for Pi Phis to stay connected to the Fraternity, an alumnae club promotes and supports Fraternity philanthropic endeavors, assists and supports collegiate chapters, provides recruitment information for prospective members, offers friendship to new graduates and alumnae who are new to the community and establishes a social group that supports the mission, vision and core values of the Fraternity.

If you would like to volunteer with your local alumnae club, becoming a member of the club's board is a great place to start. Previous experience on your chapter's Executive Council is not required to hold an alumnae club role. Below is a list of positions, however, alumnae clubs have varied positions due to both the size and needs of an individual group. President
Oversees all operations of the club, ensures that the club meets its requirements to the Fraternity and to its members. Leads the meetings and delegates club responsibilities. 

Treasurer
Ensures Fraternity requirements are met regarding both dues and contributions. Collects Fraternity dues and remits them to the Fraternity on behalf of the members, as well as being in charge of the club's budget.

Alumnae Club Recruitment Information Chairman (ACRIC)
Sends RIFs to chapters as requested by members, as well as encourages club members to submit voluntary RIFs. Resource for club members regarding recruitment questions.

Secretary
Serves to record the business of the club. Sends communications to club members and potential members. Maintains the club officer information and manages contact information for the club's roster.

Other Desirable Leadership Positions. These will vary by club and this list is not all inclusive.

Community Service and/or Pi Phi Philanthropies Chairman
Plans a community service and/or literacy project. May also serve as the Fundraising Chairman who plans fundraisers to generate revenue for expected philanthropic contributions and local community service.

Event Planning and/or Programming Chairman
Plans the dates, programs and hostesses for club meetings (such as Founders’ Day, philanthropy event, Fraternity heritage).

Communications Chairman
May be in charge of all club communication (emails, newsletters, postcards). May be asked to regularly update club's Facebook page or website. 

Membership Chairman
Is responsible for recruitment and retention of members of the alumnae club. May be responsible for assigning hosts at each event so new members are greeted. If club has a directory, possibly organizing this project.
