2020 Balfour Cup Finalists

Pi Beta Phi recognizes chapters, clubs and individual members for their excellence in various aspects of Pi Phi life. Every year, we celebrate and honor Pi Phi chapters for contributing to their communities and the Fraternity. Congratulations to our 2020 Balfour Cup Finalists!

Missouri Alpha
In 2020, the Missouri Alpha Chapter remained committed to Philanthropic Service to Others and made great contributions to their local community. In addition to hosting a Fraternity Day of Service Signature Event prior to the start of the pandemic, the chapter also hosted a book drive competition with the Kansas Alpha Chapter. Missouri Alpha collected over 21,000 books which were distributed to local schools, hospitals and other organizations in Columbia, Missouri.

Ontario Gamma
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ontario Gamma Chapter found creative ways to excel including a virtual ‘job fair’ where current officers explained the roles and responsibilities of each position on the Chapter Leadership Team. Ontario Gamma members were also encouraged to focus on their academics and be held accountable through virtual study sessions with sisters. Members were rewarded for their efforts with an academic raffle at the end of the year.

Virginia Gamma
In 2020, the Virginia Gamma Chapter established a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committee which worked with chapter leaders to incorporate educational content on social media and promote events from the campus’ Center for Student Diversity and other cultural organizations on campus. In addition to this community support, the chapter also created a form for chapter members to voice their DEI concerns; the Chapter Leadership Team worked together to address all concerns.

The Balfour Cup winner will be announced on Friday, June 25 during the opening session of Convention 2021.
