A Letter from the Chapter President...

Welcome to the Indiana Delta chapter of Pi Beta Phi here at Purdue University! It's an honor to serve as the 2017 chapter president at Indiana Delta where I have met some of the most important people in my life and spent most of my college career.

I was a member of the 2015 pledge class at Indiana Delta and will be graduating in the Spring of 2019 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. It's hard to believe that my journey at Indiana Delta began almost two years ago now. Since then I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet and learn about the hundreds of women that have come through our chapter.

Pursuing a college education can be stressful, but there is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't make it through without the support system I have gained at Pi Beta Phi. Every sorority girl will tell you that they've met their future bridesmaids in their house and they "love all their sisters." While both of these things can be true, I chose Pi Beta Phi because we are individually driven to achieve our own goals, and we are each different in our personalities and achievements. There is no greater inspiration for me than seeing one of my sisters achieve, and that's truly what I signed up for. We don't need pastel colors or labeled t-shirts (although we have plenty) to make us a sorority. What makes us a sorority is the fact that every sister has her biggest fans to come home to every day. You may hear from others that you can "find yourself at college," but for me, I found myself at Pi Phi.

I hope that Pi Phi can be to you what it has been to me, and I encourage you to come and see for yourself. You don't get many chances during your life to move into a house of 70+ girls, and then walk out with some of the best friends and stories of your college career. As I said before, it is truly an honor to serve as the President at Indiana Delta, where I am privileged to spend the best four years of my life.

Sincerely,

Sydneigh Berenda
