Letter from the President
Welcome to the newly re-designed website of the Indiana Zeta chapter of Pi Beta Phi. I, as well as the chapter members, are so excited that you took the time to look at our site!!
Pi Beta Phi is my home away from home. I feel that the one unique part of being in this particular organization is that I can be myself around my sisters. I do not have to hide the silly side of my personality when I am with them. They accept me for who I am and vice versa. Between the random bursts of laughter, awkward moments, late night Wal-Mart runs, breakdown sessions, and all-nighters, these girls really have become my sisters, my family. Putting aside the friendship part of Pi Phi, we have several dances (which happen to be a blast!) and help raise money for children’s literacy, along with participating in other philanthropies across campus and donating our time for community service activities. I sincerely feel blessed for being able to be part of an organization.
Pi Beta Phi has also given me the chance to grow not only as a person, but as a sister and leader as well. I was privileged with the opportunity to become president when I was sophomore. I also held two other leadership positions prior to my presidency. Greek life is overflowing with these kinds of opportunities to step up and grow into being a leader.
Our values also play a vital role in our organization. Between integrity, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service to others, sincere friendship, and lifelong commitment, I have grown to be a more well-rounded person. As cheesy as you may think this sounds, we do hold each of these values close to heart, and they are the way we want to conduct ourselves on a daily basis.
As I have stated above, Greek life has been an amazing experience for me. I could not have asked for a better organization or a better sisterhood. I sincerely encourage you to allow yourself the opportunity of becoming a part of this amazing and life-changing experience.
Good luck with all you do, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all!
Pi Phi Love and Mine,
Emily Reoch
