A Letter from the Chapter President

Welcome to the New Mexico Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at New Mexico State University!

Our chapter has so much to offer!  Throughout our 38 years on this campus we have proven ourselves to be loyal sisters, caring philanthropists and dedicated scholars.  We are a diverse group of sophisticated and classy young women who are looking to make the best of their college experience.

Joining Pi Phi is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  It has enabled me to build bonds so strong I know they will last a lifetime. When I look around the room at the faces that surround me I know in my heart that these women are more than friends.  They are the sisters that I never had.  In them I can find the words of wisdom that lift me when I’m down, the silly jokes that paint a smile across my face on a daily basis, and arms that are always warm and welcoming.

Pi Phi has truly made my college years the best of my life.  The memories I have made and have yet to make will never fade.  I mean how could anyone forget laughing so hard you could barely breathe? From date parties, socials and mixers to sisterhood events, retreats, and rituals, every minute has filled my days with joy and I feel blessed to serve as chapter president.

My most beloved times always consist of working hard with my sisters.  At the end of the day, nothing brings us closer than giving a little bit of our time to make a difference in someone else’s life.  From volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, Day of Service, and other local philanthropies to hosting our annual Arrow Bowl football tournament for the fraternities to raise money for the Pi Beta Phi Foundation, Pi Phis are proud to do their part in bettering our society.

From the outside looking in you can’t understand it; from the inside you simply cannot explain it.  Our house has become a home away from home for many of us and we are always excited to welcome new sisters into our family in Pi Phi.
