Welcome to the New York Eta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi! On behalf of the other 61 angels, we are so excited that you have taken the time to check out our website, and see what Pi Phi is all about!
Being a Pi Phi is about sisterhood. Since the very exciting day I accepted my bid, I knew that my entire collegiate experience was about to change. At a place like NYU where a sense of community is difficult to find, I struggled to find a group of girlfriends that would always be there for me, that would constantly support me, and shared the same values as me. Joining Pi Phi changed all that. I instantly met women that have constantly motivated, inspired, and make me laugh on a daily basis. From spending time together at Chapter weekly, to going through amazing experiences together like Initiation, to exploring the city and trying almost every single frozen yogurt place in Manhattan, I always know that I'll have a Pi Phi sister by my side.
In addition to the amazing sisterhood, the NY Eta Chapter is a group of amazing women. In addition to devoting our time to our national philanthropies, First Book and Champions Are Readers, our girls are involved in a plethora of activities. Some have highly coveted internships at places like Teen Vogue, Late Night at Jimmy Kimmel, and Scott Rudin Productions, while others devote their time to volunteering at hospitals, animal shelters, soup kitchens, and America Reads! We always strive for academic excellence, and many of our girls are on the Dean's List while others are in Academic Honors programs.
Of course, Pi Phis love having fun! Between sisterhoods, like the Sex and the City Trivia Walk or exploring the Union Square Holiday Market, and getting glammed up before one of our two formals and our (sometimes themed) mixers with other fraternities, one thing that makes Pi Phi so special to us are the memories we create together.
I have been blessed and honored to serve as NY Eta's President, but even more so to call myself a sister of these amazing women. I invite you explore our website and get to know our chapter a little better!
