The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women is to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential and enrich lives through community service.

Welcome to the Florida Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi, located at Stetson University. Pi Beta Phi was established at Stetson on January 30th, 1913. Not only was it the first panhellenic organization to have originated on campus, this chapter was given the name Florida "Alpha" because it was the very first Pi Phi chapter to be established in the state of Florida.

Pi Beta Phi was originally founded  on April 28th, 1867, at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. The twelve founders had the vision to form the first national secret society for women at a time when only five state universities admitted women. The founders of Pi Phi created the Fraternity to cultivate sincere friendship, establish the real objects of life and promote happiness.

It is this established background that Pi Phi wishes to uphold and does so by being committed to being recognized as a premier organization for women on Stetson's campus. Although helping young women develop lasting friendships is at the heart of the Fraternity's purpose, our members also benefit from support and guidance in other areas of college life. We provide lifelong enrichment to our members, contribute to our society, provide social interactions with other fraternities and sororities, develop professional and social networking skills, become involved in many philanthropic endeavours specifically to our own literacy philanthropy and much much more.
