Presidents Letter
Welcome to the California Lambda Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at the
University of California, Riverside! We are incredibly thrilled that you
have taken an interest in our chapter and hope that this websites provides you
with a glimpse of how your life could be as a Pi Phi.
As the nation’s First Fraternity for Women, Pi Beta Phi holds 144
years of lifelong sisterhood, intellectual breakthrough, and philanthropic
service that have shaped the meaning of womanhood today. Here at UCR, we
continue this remarkable legacy as we reach out to our local community with
service, challenge ourselves with rigorous academic programs, and broaden our network
with fun-themed socials and formals. Although our calendar is sure to keep your
collegiate experience
proactive, each member has the opportunity to make sorority life her own. Our members
range from campus leaders, dancers, engineers, athletes, future doctors and
lawyers and so much more: each bringing something unique to the group and staying
true to herself.
Looking back, I remember being a nervous freshman who had no idea
a mere Bid Card would be the beginning of such a life changing experience. Upon
joining this sisterhood, I have had the opportunity to grow in laughter, tears,
and love with an incredible group of inspirational women I still can’t believe
I get to call
my sisters. Pi Phi has brought out of me only my best, pushing me to exceed any
of my own expectations. Now, I stand proud to be a part of a cause bigger than just
myself.
I am humbled and honored to serve as President of the Ca Lambda
Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at UCR. I hope that you too are ready and excited to
soon find your home away from home, for it will be your backbone as you embark
into all the wonderful things UCR has to offer!
