Pi Beta Phi at Vanderbilt University
From Our President
Welcome to the Tennessee
Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Vanderbilt
University! Thank you so much for visiting our website.
Our chapter is award-winning on both the Vanderbilt campus
and in the international Pi Phi community.
Pi Phi had a busy fall semester, holding Pi Phi in Paradise on October
4, 2009 to raise money for the Bill
Wilkerson Center
and Pi Phi Philanthropies. Pi Phi also
held the Champions Are Readers program at Wharton Elementary School,
reading to third graders to promote literacy.
After a successful recruitment, the Tennessee Beta Chapter
was excited to welcome forty-four new members to its 2010 pledge class. We are looking forward to an exciting
semester. On February 24, 2010, we held Speed Read, our half-time event at the Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball game
to benefit First Book. Later in the spring, we hosted our annual kick ball benefit tournament, Kick it with Pi Phi, which benefits the Pi Beta Phi Foundation and the Bill Wilkerson
Center.
Outside of Pi Phi, our members are extremely active around campus. Pi Phi’s involvement includes Varsity
Lacrosse, SPEAR, American Red Cross, Dance Marathon, AmbassaDores, Pencil
Projects, VSVS, VanderBuddies, Relay for Live, VISAGE, Alternative Spring
Break, and more. Please feel free to
explore our website and contact us if you have any questions!
In Pi Phi,
Erin Steigerwald
President
