Pi Beta Phi at Vanderbilt University
Tennessee Beta would like to send our deepest condolences to Madonna Johnson Badger, a 1982 TN Beta initiate who suffered a tragic loss this past December 25th, Christmas Day. Sincere friendship, one of our most cherished values, means supporting our sisters whenever they are in need. We can only hope that she receives the support she needs to get through this trying time, and we ask that you keep Madonna and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Welcome
to the Tennessee Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi! We are proud to be an
award-winning chapter both within the Vanderbilt campus and the international
Pi Phi community. Pi Phi’s have been busy since the start of the 2011 school
year, hosting Pi Phi in Paradise, our annual benefit for the Bill Wilkerson
Center, on November 14, as well as tutoring Nashville school children weekly
through The After-School Program (TAP), which was founded by Samara Orkin (TN
Beta ’11).
After a
successful recruitment, the Tennessee Beta chapter is pleased to welcome
forty-seven new members to the 2012 pledge class. We are looking forward to yet
another exciting semester! In April, we will continue our philanthropic service
through Kick it with Pi Phi, our annual kickball tournament benefiting the Pi
Beta Phi Foundation. Additionally, we will host many sisterhood events, invite
our parents down to Nashville for Moms’ Weekend, and collaborate with other
groups on campus through events both service and social.
Outside
of Pi Phi, our members are extremely active around campus. Pi Phi’s involvement
includes Varsity Track and Field, Dance Marathon, American Red Cross, Triple
Thread Apparel, AmbassaDores, Pencil Projects, VSVS, VanderBuddies, Relay for
Live, VISAGE, Girls on the Run, Alternative Spring Break, Club Volleyball, and
so much more. Please feel free to explore our website and contact us if you
have any questions!
In Pi Phi,
Parks Daniel
