Lobbying for our future

For more than 10 years, fraternity and sorority members have been invited to Washington D.C. to build relationships with Members of Congress and advocate for legislation that directly impacts the fraternity and sorority community. The work is done through the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC), of which Pi Beta Phi is a member. The coalition, representing the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC), monitors and addresses legislative issues important to the fraternity world such as anti-hazing legislation, freedom of association, safe housing and college affordability.

Pi Beta Phi is currently reviewing all applications for the 2024 day of lobbying and will forward those most qualified for final selection by the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition. Those chosen to participate will be selected and notified the week of January 29-February 2, 2024. Questions can be directed to Pi Beta Phi Government Relations Representative Sheila Consaul, Illinois Theta.
