Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Volunteering for our Fraternity is an easy ‘yes’ as it allows me to give back to an experience that has given me so much. Pi Phi was foundational in my early leadership development and opened doors to a career in higher education. I've met friends and leaders for life—serving alongside amazing women and leading an organization for women inspires me at every turn along my Pi Phi journey.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I volunteer with Pi Beta Phi because I am believe in the power of giving back. Pi Phi has played a pivotal role in shaping me into the woman and leader I am today. I believe the future of our organization lies in honoring our rich traditions while also fostering a dynamic, relevant and engaging member experience for the next generation. As a member of this Grand Council, I will continue to be dedicated to ensuring the future of our sisterhood.

Pi Phi Experience: I have had the pleasure of serving our Fraternity as an alumna in several local and international roles. Locally, I have served as Alumnae Club President of both the Windy City and Nashville Alumnae Club, on the Alumnae Advisory Committees (AAC) at Northwestern and Vanderbilt Universities, Chapter House Corporation (CHC) at Purdue, helped establish the Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic, and most recently served as co-chair of the 2024 Christmas Village. On an international level, my experience includes Collegiate Province President, Pi Beta Phi Foundation Trustee, Director of Community Relations, and various committees. Each opportunity has connected me to wonderful, committed Pi Phis.

Professional Experience: I spent the early part of my career in sports marketing and transitioned into the nonprofit space in 2007. Currently, I serve as the President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee which has been the greatest challenge and greatest joy in my professional work.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Specifically, I'm excited to be nominated as Grand Vice President of Alumnae because I found the value of Pi Phi as as alumna. The truth is, we spend most of our time as Pi Phis alumnae. This phase of our sisterhood is the greatest time to build connection, provide service and support to each other, and build the sustainability of our Fraternity.

My path in Pi Beta Phi has been an evolution and I have always been involved since serving as Chapter President and Traveling Graduate Consultant. Following years of local alumnae service, my professional skill set in finance and fundraising took me to the Pi Beta Phi Foundation Board.

After proudly serving as Chair of the Gatlinburg Study Committee, my finance and business background led me to the Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC) Board.

It has been an honor to serve for as long as I have in various roles throughout the organization – from the Foundation to FHC to Grand Council. My service has been capped with the supreme privilege of serving as Grand President, alongside capable and passionate women and dedicated staff. I could not be happier to remain on Grand Council and provide expertise and perspective from a new seat at the table. Business continuity and consistency in leadership is needed to sustain the organization and I am proud of the work to adapt our strategic priorities which will continue the vision and the work that is required to maintain our ability to be a premier organization for women.

Pi Phi Experience: I have volunteered in a variety of Pi Beta Phi roles along the way including Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC), Chapter House Corporation (CHC), Operations Specialist, Director Operations/Advisors, Collegiate Regional Director and, most recently, have had the honor of serving as Grand Vice President Collegians.

Professional Experience: I am currently Director of Contracts responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of Federal and Corporate partnerships for a security technology firm. I oversee all aspects of our contract process by developing and implementing policies and procedures, identifying and assessing risk and leading mitigation efforts and partnering with employees and external stakeholders to ensure alignment from both a legal and business aspect. I also mentor and train a team, placing special emphasis on a customer-centric approach. 

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Sisterhood is a lovely thing! Fostering an encouraging environment where the individual talents of our members is recognized and celebrated as a contributing factor to our collective strength motivates me to continue serving. Striving to create space where every member of Pi Beta Phi feels a sense of belonging and camaraderie while empowering, supporting, uplifting and cheering each other on feels like what our founders intended for our organization. Paying it forward in a way that sets the tone for our members to thrive both honors our past while ensuring our future.

Pi Phi Experience: I've held a variety of leadership positions within the Fraternity. I started as an Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) member, which is one of the most rewarding experiences of my volunteer service. I served in multiple roles on the Fraternity’s recruitment and alumnae teams, and I most recently served as Grand Vice President Inclusion/Community Relations. In my final term on Grand Council, I'm excited to come full circle and lead in the recruitment space as Grand Vice President Fraternity Growth.

Professional Experience: I’ve spent most of my career in the broadcasting industry specializing in operational excellence. I’ve led teams at television networks in the U.S. and Canada as well as software companies specializing in TV operations. For nine years, I was on the leadership team at a television sales start-up, designing their procedural playbook and building a culture of collaboration. Recently, I became a certified leadership coach where I specialize in helping women unlock their full potential.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi has given so much to me. I want to help sustain the organization so that other women have the same amazing experience. Paying it forward, keeping the organization relevant, witnessing our sisterhood coming together to blaze new paths…I believe that is what leading Pi Phi is all about.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I'm giving back to Pi Phi because I believe in our mission and values, and treasure the experience and friendships I've gained through my membership.

Pi Phi Experience: I’ve volunteered for the Fraternity in various capacities for almost 20 years. After serving on an Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) right out of college for six years, including four as AAC chair, I joined the Region Seven Team, where I had roles as programming specialist, chapter operations and advisor specialist, and collegiate regional director over the course of 12 years. During the 2023-2025 biennium, I have served as the Director Operations.

Professional Experience: My professional background is in marketing and operations. After eight years in the real estate industry, I became an independent contractor to have more flexibility with my family, serving a variety of clients and focusing on accounting, event coordination, market statistics, and operational expertise. I recently returned to my prior employer, Windermere Realty Trust, as the Director of Strategy, leveraging my Pi Phi experience to improve operational efficiencies, align strategic objectives, drive staff and agent engagement, and facilitate long term mission and vision planning. 

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi has developed me as a leader since the moment I accepted my bid. I love being able to give back by mentoring other women leaders and finding inspiration in their success. Being able to continually improve our organization for the betterment of society is a privilege for which I am most grateful, and I cherish the friendships I continue to make along the way.

Pi Phi Experience: I have served in various leadership roles for the Tidewater of Virginia Alumnae Club including Leadership and Nominating (LNC) Chair (current role), Membership, ACRIC, Secretary and President. I have also served as the Collegiate Regional Risk Management and Policy Specialist for Region Four from 2014 to 2019, Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) Chair for Virginia Gamma and Chapter Support Officer from October 2022-current.

Professional Experience: Professionally, I am an Adult Probation and Parole Officer, having worked 23 years in public safety at the State and City levels. I've held leadership roles over teams of specialty officers and as a State wide trainer for Evidence Based Practices and the usage of risk assessments in developing supervision needs for adults returning to the community from incarceration.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi has given me so much in my life; from lifelong friendships to opportunities to grow and learn as a volunteer and a leader. It feels right to serve and work together with others to encourage those same experiences for other members. I want to work alongside Pi Phi volunteers and stakeholders to better our organization so that it may continue to thrive and remain a collegiate experience that leads to lifelong engagement.

Pi Phi Experience: For more than 16 years, Stephanie has diligently served Pi Beta Phi at various levels of the organization and continues to be a steadfast volunteer leader; now serving as the Director Member Experience. She has also served the Fraternity as the Collegiate Region Five Member Experience Specialist and Programming Specialist, Missouri Gamma’s Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) as Chair, AAC Vice President Member Development and AAC Vice President Administration/ Policy and Standards Board, as well as Vice President of the Springfield Alumnae Club. Combined, Stephanie has nine years of volunteer experience in the realm of programming and member experience.

Professional Experience: Stephanie is a Principal and Architect at an award-winning firm located in Springfield, Missouri. With twenty years of experience, including practicing in Dongguan, China, she is well versed in effective communication, successfully managing design teams, working through challenges, and collaborating with other disciplines. Since graduating from Drury University in 2005, Stephanie has actively participated in and led numerous community organizations. She currently serves as a Board Member on the Professional Advisory Council for the Hammons School of Architecture at her alma mater and is a member and committee co-chair for Rotary Club of Springfield.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Stephanie recognizes the vital role member experience plays in shaping Pi Phi collegians and keeping alumnae engaged, believing it to be the core of Pi Beta Phi’s mission and essential to the sustainability of the Fraternity. Not only does Stephanie have extensive knowledge and expertise in this area, but her ability to innovate as well as think creatively will be necessary as our organization looks to the future and thinks strategically about the members’ experience. Stephanie is passionate about developing, mentoring and empowering others and ensuring our beloved organization evolves to remain relevant and meaningful to future generations of Pi Beta Phi women.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Beta Phi has given me countless leadership opportunities both as a collegian and an alumna with ongoing training and development. Each opportunity builds onto the next allowing me to have seen our organization through a variety of lenses. It is important for our leadership to bring historical knowledge, while having a fresh perspective to ensure we stay relevant and are meeting the needs of our membership, both collegiate and alumnae, now and into the future. Having advised chapters on AAC and as a Finance/Housing Specialist, and also having served on a CHC and the FHC Board, I understand the financial burdens placed on our collegians and the reality of maintaining our chapter facilities. As Director Finance/Housing, I want to build on that knowledge to help guide our chapters to make smart decisions within their budgets while ensuring that both collegians and alumnae understand the importance of our facilities and associated costs of preserving them. I want to ensure that each Pi Phi has the same memorable experience as those that came before her and secure that experience for the women in our future membership.

Pi Phi Experience: I have been in volunteer service to Pi Beta Phi for almost 25 years, working with both alumnae and collegians. Since 2021, I have served as the Alumnae Engagement Director (AED) for Region Six. As an AED, I support alumnae clubs, elevate alumnae voices, appoint and onboard new Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) members and serve on strategic work groups within the Fraternity. Before serving as an AED, I held leadership positions with two large alumnae clubs, in Houston and New York City. I have also provided direct support to five chapters in four states as a Chapter Support Officer, Recruitment Coach and AAC member.

Professional Experience: For the past decade, I have leaned into family life as a primary caregiver to two very busy children. I also serve in large leadership roles for organizations in my community. I like to say that I shifted lanes from the workforce to the volunteer force, both of which are crucial for a healthy society! I am equally proud of my 15-year career in public finance, which included professional stints in local, state and federal government. I have a Master of Public Administration and B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I was initiated into the North Carolina Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi in 1996. 

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I embrace the core values of Lifelong Commitment and Philanthropic Service to Others, and I am particularly passionate about the Fraternity's work to remain relevant to our members at all ages and stages of life. It is a privilege to serve an organization that greets women as young collegians and then meets them where they are, at various points of growth, achievement, challenge and change. I have lived in four different states during the past 25 years, and Pi Beta Phi has been a continuous thread through time and place for me.

Professional Experience: I started my career designing educational programs for a non-profit organization focused on professional development for individuals interested in communications, fundraising and policy careers. After roughly 3 years in that role, I transitioned to consulting where I focused on strategy and culture consulting. I have continued in the consulting space for the last seven years and have expanded my expertise to focus on executive alignment, facilitation and inclusive practices.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi has given me so much and I am honored to for the opportunity to serve the Fraternity in a way that combines my professional experience with my personal passion. I look forward to continuing to help our chapter members and volunteers foster a welcoming community rooted in friendship, service and growth.

Pi Phi Experience: Currently, I serve the Fraternity as the Director Risk Management, where I provide guidance and support on risk prevention and policy implementation. Prior to that, I served the Fraternity as a Risk Management Specialist and a Chapter Support Officer, working closely with chapters to foster a safe and positive member experience. Additionally, I have held several Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) positions at chapters throughout Region One, allowing me to mentor and support collegiate members in their development as leaders.

Professional Experience: I began my professional journey in the Peace Corps, serving as an Environmental Volunteer in Benin, where I worked on community-based conservation and sustainability initiatives. Following that, I continued my commitment to service as an AmeriCorps Environmental Education Volunteer, helping to connect communities with nature through education and outreach.

After my time in national service, I transitioned into teaching science at the middle school, high school and undergraduate levels. From there, I moved into research-focused roles, applying my passion for science beyond the classroom. Most recently, I have worked at several R1 institutions and research centers as an evolutionary biologist.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Beta Phi has given me so much—lifelong friendships, incredible mentors and the opportunity to learn from inspiring servant leaders. I am always looking for ways to give back to the organization that has shaped me, and serving as an International Officer would be a meaningful way to do so.

Through Pi Phi, I have developed a deep commitment to mentorship, leadership development and fostering strong, supportive communities. Some of the most impactful experiences in my life have come from the guidance of dedicated Pi Phi mentors, and I hope to play that role for others. Having previously served in risk management and chapter support roles, I have seen first-hand the positive impact of strong leadership within our organization. Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I want to continue to serve Pi Phi in any capacity I can because Pi Phi has given so much to me. As a first generation student, Pi Phi gave me the motivation to continue not only my undergraduate degree but to also seek my graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs.

Additionally, I have always been most drawn to the value of Personal and Intellectual Growth and feel that serving as an International Officer is one of the best ways to ensure that growth in myself and to inspire that growth in others.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? As an International Officer, I'm part of the tradition of strong Pi Phi volunteers, from those I met as a collegian, to new friends who inspire me daily. I want to carry Pi Phi's leadership culture forward, focusing on mentoring, guiding and coaching aspiring leaders. Volunteering at the Region level gives me a tremendous sense of belonging and accomplishment, and I want to share that with other Pi Phis and encourage them to think about the impact they are making not just within Pi Phi, but also the community around them.

Professional Experience: I am an in-house commercial counsel for Globalization Partners, an Employer of Record and HR Tech company. My practice is focused on contract negotiation and providing advice to our sales and product development teams.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Serving Pi Phi as the Region Three Collegiate Regional Director has been the most rewarding volunteer experience. I love working with the Region Three specialists and the AAC members serving our chapters to help our collegians grow as leaders. Supporting AAC and Chapter Leadership Teams as they improve their chapters and the experiences of their members helps to grow our sisterhood while also giving me tremendous personal satisfaction.

Pi Phi Experience: Since graduating from Virginia Tech, I have served as an Alumnae Advisory Committe (AAC) member for Virginia Zeta working with various Vice President roles including Communication, Member Development and Member Experience. After serving on AAC, I was the Operations Specialist for Region Four before being elected as the Collegiate Regional Director for Region Four at Pi Phi's 2023 Convention.

Professional Experience: Since 2014, I have worked in student affairs at a variety of higher education institution. My experience includes supporting students through fraternity and sorority life leadership opportunities, shepherding students through study abroad experiences in Switzerland, adjudicating concerns related to student conduct and educating students on hazing prevention practices. In my current role, I serve as an assistant dean of students where I support students navigating college, life and the complexities that come when they intersect.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi shaped the trajectory of my life due the leadership opportunities it presented. Through leadership roles, I was introduced to the possibility of working in higher education and student affairs. Because of this, I want to continue to invest time and energy to the organization that made me the woman I am today – both professionally and personally. As an International Officer, I can continue to strengthen the organization and empower other women around me as they navigate their own leadership development.

Pi Phi Experience: I have been involved in Pi Phi leadership since my university days. As a collegian, I was Chapter Secretary and Chapter President. As an alumna, I have served as Alumnae Advisory Committe (AAC) member and Chair for Ontario Alpha, Alumnae Club President for the Toronto Area Alumnae Club, Alumnae Programming Specialist for Region Three, Chapter Support Officer, Chapter House Corporation Treasurer for Ontario Beta, Membership/Recruitment Specialist for Region Two and Director Recruitment.

Professional Experience: I have worked in education for the past 23 years; 17 years as a middle school teacher, one year as a Religion/Family Life Resource Teacher for the Toronto Catholic District School Board, three years as a Course Director at York University: Faculty of Education, and I've been a Vice-Principal for a K-8 school in the Toronto Catholic District School Board since last year.

I am also an epilepsy advocate. I co-founded Emma IS, a non-profit organization in Canada, whose aim is to spread awareness for Infantile Spasms (a rare form of epilepsy), and to raise funds for Infantile Spasms research at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. I have worked with the provincial government to ensure inclusive epilepsy policies in Ontario schools.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? My membership in Pi Beta Phi has always been something I deeply value. Over the years, I have sought various leadership opportunities within Pi Phi to give back to the organization that has given me so much. With each opportunity, I continue to learn and grow, and the skills I have developed through Pi Phi have shaped both my personal and professional life. In my various roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible individuals who have challenged me to grow—as a volunteer, leader, sister and friend. I want to continue sharing my passion with all chapters across the Fraternity. I recognize that the climate on our college and university campuses, as well as the world at large, is changing. As such, our Fraternity must continue to evolve.

My experience working with both alumnae and collegians, along with my strategic work in fraternity recruitment, has strengthened my leadership skills while shaping my personal philosophy of relationship-building, active listening and servant leadership. Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I currently serve as an International Officer and would welcome the opportunity to continue serving in this different role. I love serving our Fraternity that has given so much to me, including friendships, access to a variety of leadership and professional development opportunities, the chance to mentor and empower young leaders, and the joy of working with a group of diverse, smart and dynamic volunteers. I believe the Pi Phi knowledge that I have gained and the skills that I have developed in my various volunteer roles, including serving as a Pi Phi chapter leader and then in local and International Officer positions, have prepared me to take this next step in my Pi Phi volunteer journey. I am excited for a new adventure that dovetails nicely with my skill set and experiences and will continue my personal growth.

Pi Phi Experience: During my collegiate years, I served Colorado Epsilon as Treasurer, Vice President Moral Advancement and Chapter President. As an alumna, I have held many roles, including Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) Philanthropy, Communications and Financial Advisors for Colorado Epsilon; AAC Financial  and Housing Advisor, and AAC Chair for Colorado Gamma; Finance Housing Specialist for Region Eight.

Professional Experience: Senior Tax Associate at BiggsKofford PC, Assistant Controller at Durango Motor Company, Controller at Audioair, Senior Accountant at Southern Ute Indian Tribe, and currently, VP of Finance at Nine2626 LLC. Additionally, I serve as the current Treasurer and Board Member of Horizons Colorado.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Beta Phi has played a meaningful role in my life, shaping me as a leader, mentor and lifelong learner. The friendships, guidance and experiences I’ve gained through our sisterhood have had a lasting impact, and I want to give back by supporting our collegians and volunteers in a meaningful way. As Collegiate Regional Director, my goal is to work alongside chapter leaders, Regional Specialists and volunteers to ensure our chapters feel supported, empowered and equipped for success. I know first-hand the value of mentorship and collaboration, and I hope to foster that same supportive environment within our region. More than anything, I am excited to serve alongside so many dedicated Pi Phis and contribute to the continued success of our sisterhood.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I want to ensure the longevity of Pi Phi and my own legacy of advancing all women.

Pi Phi Experience: As an alumna, I have served Pi Phi as an Alumnae Club President, Pi Beta Phi Foundation Stewardship Committee member, and Alumnae Engagement Director.

Professional Experience: For the past six and a half years I have worked at Carnegie Hall in New York City on the Special Events team. I fundraise and plan black tie gala evenings to support our wide ranging artistic, music education and social impact programs.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I want to serve Pi Phi as an International Officer because it offers me a chance to closely support the strategic and operational development of our beloved Fraternity. We are a sisterhood built on servant leadership, and it means very much to me to help champion a premier member experience for collegians and alumnae across Pi Beta Phi.

Pi Phi Experience: Most recently, I've served as an Alumnae Club Support Officer. Prior to that, I've held the positions of local Panhellenic delegate, a variety of alumnae club roles (President, Leadership and Nomination Committee (LNC) Chair, Fundraising Chair, Vice President Communications and Vice President Programs) and spent time on Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) including serving as AAC Chair.

Professional Experience: I have worked in the insurance industry for 11 years focusing on coverage and services for home/auto, farms, and small to midsize businesses. I'm currently a training/marketing consultant and support independent agencies all across the US who sell our products. I've also had roles in underwriting and distribution/sales management.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? One of my favorite experiences from my time volunteering is meeting different people and learning about what others are doing. I love how we're all working towards the same goals but have different ways of reaching them. As an Alumnae Club Support Officer, I've gotten a glimpse of that, and really look forward to all the new connections and the opportunity to share ideas as an Alumnae Engagement Director!

Pi Phi Experience: Over the last three decades, I've held both local roles (Alumnae Club president and Alumnae Advisory Committee Chair) and international roles including my time as Resident Graduate Consultant, Collegiate Province President and most recently the past four years as the Alumnae Engagement Director for Region Four.

Professional Experience: I am currently the Director of Student Services for the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I've worked in higher education roles at small residential colleges as well as large research one universities for close to 30 years, including over 12 years in my current role. I have enjoyed creating a supportive environment for students to be successful.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Beta Phi was a pivotal part of my undergraduate experience. My participation enhanced my leadership development, cultivated my philanthropic interests and opened my eyes to what became my career path. I know that happened because of dozens of Pi Phi volunteers who gave their time and interest to the Fraternity. I've made it a priority to 'pay it forward' for future generations to also experience this wonderful sisterhood. I enjoy volunteering at the international level to be part of the solution of how to best meet the needs of our current members - both collegiate and alumnae.

Professional Experience: My professional experiences have centered around positively impacting local and state education. I am grateful that my career path has been in educating students, teachers and administrators. The professional positions I have held are: middle school teacher (math & computer science), Instructional Technology Coach, various Student Clubs’ sponsor, district Instructional Technology Coordinator, state level Computer Science Curriculum Standards co-chair, professional development leader and facilitator.

My work has been in curriculum, teaching, program development and innovative initiatives. A passion I’ve had throughout my career is in creating new curriculum, including Standards and Benchmarks, scope and sequence lessons, resources and assessment. Not only creating and revising technology-based courses but also other curriculum areas (Family Consumer Science, Industrial Technology, Business). One of my biggest passions and endeavors has been to lead district libraries’ teacher librarians in curriculum, collection and professional development. This was my most favorite area to be of service to as I loved being part of the hub of each school and impacting reading for all students and teachers.

I love to teach – always have! So, it has been important for me to stay connected to what’s closest to the classroom experience. I’ve led hundreds of professional development classes, sessions, workshops and presentations. I have taught to thousands of students, teachers, administrators, parents and school board members. Sharing and passing along knowledge where others can pick it up and carry it forward is important to me. Forever, a teacher at heart.

Program development is an on-going endeavor and exciting to see the various enhancements over the decades of service. Looking for programs to engage students in learning and provide teachers with new resources is challenging and fun for me! To introduce new programs and resources took research, testing and thorough investigation. I was able to introduce numerous programs, clubs, system tools and initiatives to the School Board, administrators and teachers. In collaborating with teachers, I was able to see the programs grow and assist in making timely adjustments for their success.

My collaborative skills were used to lead innovative initiatives. I’ve directed curriculum reviews with teams of teachers, led a state-wide group to selecting computer science standards and resources and influenced the planning and implementation of all instructional technology. Both state-wide and district-wide, I’ve elevated the importance of curriculum enhancement and instructional technology. Our district was the first in our state to implement a successful high-school level 1:1 initiative in 2012. I am still very proud of all the pieces to this comprehensive endeavor. Then, we expanded to both middle schools and then to all our early learning through elementary schools. Since 2013, we’ve been named an Apple Distinguished School and District. This is a honor that makes me proud of our work and accomplishments for student learning.

I truly feel blessed that I was given many opportunities to continue to be a learner and never be steadfast in curriculum, resources or programs. I embrace change and variety – it’s probably why I liked my professional career; technology tools were ever changing, curriculum and student needs ever changing. I was in the right place at the right time in my education career. I do feel like I’ve made a positive impact.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? In serving Pi Phi, I want to be able to inspire others to intrinsically connect with our sisterhood. I believe in our organization’s vision, mission and values and I embrace its relevance in collegian and alumnae lives. Establishing strong connections with members allows me to grow from their mentorship and then I can a be a better mentor and support to others. In striving to deliver positive impact, I can be part of a team that works toward shared goals, encourages members to develop new skills and celebrates meaningful member experiences. Being a Pi Phi continues to be an important part of my life and I am grateful Pi Phi welcomed me!

Pi Phi Experience: I have held numerous Pi Beta Phi volunteer roles in my 20+ years of service to the Fraternity. To name a few: Virginia Delta AAC Chair, Collegiate Region One Programming Specialist, Member of Leadership and Nominating Committee, Delaware Alpha New Chapter Assistance Officer, Washington D.C. Convention Volunteer Co-Chair, New York Epsilon Supervision Officer, and Northern Virginia Alumnae Club President.

Professional Experience: In my professional career, I had my own business for 17 years, Picture Perfect Organizing, helping clients organize their photos, which I just closed at the end of 2024 in order to spend more time with my family and my volunteer passions. I also work full-time at Insperity as a Human Resource Specialist. 

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I look forward to continuing to serve as AED 9 because I have served in both the alumnae and collegiate areas of the Fraternity. I have strong knowledge across a wide variety of roles in the Fraternity and always know who to contact to find answers and support. I enjoy guiding new chapters as they collaborate with alumnae and transition into their respective regions. I have also enjoyed the recruiting aspect of building Alumnae Advisory Committee teams, since I am in the HR field professionally.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? I want to serve Pi Phi as an International Officer because I am passionate about furthering our sisterhood and supporting our members in meaningful ways. Throughout my time in Pi Phi, I have seen firsthand the impact of strong leadership, mentorship and strategic vision, and I want to contribute to that legacy on a larger scale.

My experience working with the Regional Team, Executive Council and Alumnae Advisory Committee has deepened my understanding of the organization’s structure and the importance of collaboration. I am eager to leverage my skills to support and empower collegiate and alumnae members, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to thrive.

Additionally, I am committed to upholding and advancing Pi Phi’s values, focusing on leadership development, member engagement and lifelong sisterhood. Serving as an International Officer would allow me to give back to an organization that has shaped me.

Pi Phi Experience: In addition to several local volunteer roles, I have served as an Alumnae Programming Specialist, Pi Phi's Leadership and Nominating Committee, including as Chair, Director Operations and most recently as Alumnae Engagement Director for Region 8. I have also been a small group facilitator for Pi Beta Phi Leadership Institute.

Professional Experience: My professional career has been in municipal government, first within the social and community services sector and most recently doing intergovernmental relations. I have had the opportunity to work at local municipal level and provincially. Currently I am an Intergovernmental Affairs Strategist for a large municipality in Alberta.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Pi Phi provides an exceptional experience for women of all ages to connect across North America, based on shared values and experiences and this intergenerational aspect of our organization is very important to me. Within my role, I get to work with women with diverse perspectives and unique talents and traits; I am honoured that I can have a role in supporting and connecting our members to further the mission of Pi Beta Phi. Women’s leadership also plays a large role in why I serve the Fraternity. I appreciate how Pi Phi promotes, encourages and supports women leaders by helping them to gain skills, knowledge and experience in a wide variety of ways and I hope to continue using my influence in making this possible for collegiate and alumnae members.

Professional Experience: Daphney has held many roles within higher education and is currently Associate Director of Development at University of Washington managing fundraising efforts in Alaska, Oregon and the Midwest regions. Daphney’s career brought her to work in student affairs or advancement at great institutions like Washington University in St. Louis, San Diego State University, University of Oregon, and University of Texas where she always made student success a priority in her work. Daphney also worked for the Fraternity as Traveling Event Specialist for Ring Ching Roadshow and as Foundation Development and Engagement Manager.

Why do you want to serve as an International Officer? Being a volunteer for Pi Beta Phi gives me the opportunity to give back to the sisterhood while building meaningful relationships with the people I meet. My volunteer roles have allowed me to grow personally and support the fraternity’s values-based initiatives. Through these roles, I’ve developed both personal and professional skills that have helped me gain the confidence to become the woman I am today. The best part of being involved in Pi Beta Phi is the incredible people I’ve met—my sisters and the wider Pi Phi community—who share a deep appreciation for this organization. I am excited to grow as a leader while serving the Fraternity as Alumnae Engagement Director returning to Region Eight where my International Officer career began.
