Organizing operations for philanthropic impact

Philanthropy has always been a defining thread of the Pi Beta Phi story. Since our founding, Pi Phis have believed in the power of generosity—not just as an act of giving, but as a shared responsibility to strengthen our sisterhood for generations to come. 

At Convention 2025, we celebrated the tremendous impact of that collective generosity. But we also delivered a simple, urgent truth: 

If Pi Beta Phi is going to thrive into the future, we need every member to make a gift.

This isn’t just about hitting goals or setting records. It’s about ensuring that the Pi Phi experience—our programs, our scholarships, our housing, our mission—remains strong, accessible, and sustainable for all members, now and always.

That Impact Donors have already made

Thanks to donor support over the 2023-2025 biennium, Pi Beta Phi achieved extraordinary things.

Literacy 

  • 50,680 books donated through Champions Are Readers® 
  • 60,000 books shared through Fraternity Day of Service Signature Events 

Leadership

  • Nearly 40,000 members empowered through events, personal development programs, and leadership training

Housing

  • Over $5 million in grants awarded for new construction, renovations, and critical facility upgrades 

Scholarships

  • 298 Pi Phis received $558,576 in academic scholarships and fellowships 

These numbers reflect more than outcomes—they reflect lives changed, futures shaped, and sisters supported. But sustaining this kind of impact isn’t guaranteed. It depends on all of us.

Pi Phi Needs Every Sister

Pi Beta Phi currently has more than 260,000 living alumnae, yet less than 1% contribute financially to our Foundation each year. Imagine what could happen if that changed. If just 5% of our living alumnae made a $25 contribution, we would unlock $325,000 in support, instantly! This is the power of collective giving; not major gifts from a few, but small, meaningful contributions from many. Your $5 gift. Your $50 gift. Your recurring $10 gift. It all adds up—and it all matters.
