FSPAC Lobbying News Story

Pi Phis to Lobby on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, April 24

Published On: 2013-03-26

Pi Beta Phi is part of the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC), a group unifying the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC) in support of issues and policies important to the fraternity and sorority community.

As part of this coalition, a team of Pi Beta Phi collegians and alumnae will travel to Washington, D.C., on April 24, 2013, to lobby on Capitol Hill. These lobbying efforts build relationships with our Congressional representatives and ensure Greeks have a prominent voice when legislation impacts the fraternity world.

This past fall, dozens of Pi Phi collegians applied for a spot on Pi Phi’s lobbying team. The Fraternity searched for campus leaders who are studying or have a passion for public policy, political science and/or government. Pi Beta Phi is pleased to announce Illinois Theta Sarah Czufin and Ohio Beta Abigail Camp were chosen to represent the Fraternity. Abigail and Sarah will be joined by Fraternity Housing Corporation Executive Director Rebecca Culver Randolph, Oklahoma Alpha, and Pi Beta Phi FSPAC Representative Sheila Consaul, Illinois Theta.
