Pi Beta Phi is proud to announce that one new book will be donated to a child in need for every "Give a Free Book E-card"viewed, for a limited time.

Visit The Literacy Site and send the "Give a Free Book E-card " to family and friends. When your E-card is opened, a new book is provided to a child in need.

First Book, an international nonprofit organization founded in 1992 with a single mission: to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books, Pi Beta Phi, and The Literacy Site have started innovative programs such as First Book Speed Read™ and the Virtual Book Drive. First Book and Pi Beta Phi are bringing new books to children from low-income families in communities across the United States and Canada. Within the first year of the book drive, Pi Phi and First Book donated 350,000 brand-new books.   For more information about First Book, visit
