Volunteer As an Appointed Officer

Appointed officers provide leadership in many uniquely Pi Phi areas, including the Fraternity's history and archives, Holt House and assisting with convention planning and execution. Grand Council appoints these officers every two years, following convention.

A majority of appointed officer roles requires past Pi Phi volunteer experience and broad Fraternity knowledge. Some positions require travel to Pi Beta Phi workshops, events and conventions, as needed.

For example, members of Pi Beta Phi's Leadership and Nominating Committee (LNC) are appointed officers. The LNC identifies and recommends members for appointment or election to other Pi Phi volunteer positions. The committee also helps facilitate training and development of Fraternity officers.
