Pi Beta Phi Chapter at Marquette University to Close

It is with a heavy heart that Pi Beta Phi announces the closure of its Wisconsin Delta Chapter at Marquette University, effective May 2, 2026, following a vote by Grand Council.

After careful consideration by Fraternity leadership, it became evident the chapter could no longer sustain its operational obligations due to a significantly declining membership size. Since August 2022, Pi Beta Phi volunteers and Headquarters staff partnered closely with Wisconsin Delta, devoting extensive support, resources and guidance to the chapter in an effort to maintain long-term stability.

"This decision was guided by love for our sisterhood and our commitment to ensuring a positive member experience remains at the cornerstone of our efforts," Grand President Jenn Plagman-Galvin said. "While this outcome is deeply difficult, we are confident Pi Beta Phi's strong relationship with the campus community will continue, as will the cherished friendships built across generations of the chapter’s history. As the Fraternity continues to support Wisconsin Delta collegians through this transition, we are honored to welcome them into alumnae life—a reminder that Pi Phi is for life, and our sisterhood continues well beyond our college years. Wisconsin Delta will always be a treasured part of Pi Beta Phi."

Founded in 1990, the Wisconsin Delta Chapter has initiated nearly 1,100 women into Pi Beta Phi.
