The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women is to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential and enrich lives through community service.
A Letter from the President:
Welcome to the webpage of the Missouri Gamma chapter of Pi Beta Phi!
We are a chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women located in Springfield, Missouri at Drury University. As you scroll through our website, it is my hope that you desire to learn more about our small but continuously thriving chapter, or better yet, that you’ve taken your first steps in seeking your own personal home in the Drury Greek community.
Being a Drury Pi Phi is a truly unique experience. The sisterhood we've built with spirited, dynamic women over the last 100 years is beyond explanation. In my role as president, I'm honored to represent the interests of each passionate member and the qualities they offer to help make the chapter as exceptional as it is today.
The passion of our members is a large factor in the number of unique events we hold throughout the year. Some of these include: competitive intramural teams, equally competitive cheerleading (for said intramural teams), crafty sisterhood events, themed fraternity exchanges, weekly philanthropic events, and meal spreads hosted after chapter meetings.
Even with these planned events, almost all of our members are involved in activities and hold leadership positions outside of the chapter. Because Pi Phi cultivates strong leadership skills, our members are involved in organizations such as Student Government Association, Enactus, Drury Ambassadors, Orientation Leaders, Student Recruitment Team, Resident Assistants, and varsity sports teams.
Just as our members stand out as individuals, we stand out as a chapter in the scheme of the larger Drury Greek community. The Missouri Gamma chapter has always strived to hold the highest academic standards on our campus and has succeeded by holding the number one Greek GPA for the past three semesters.
As I enter into my fourth year in the chapter, I am constantly inspired by the passion and dedication of our members. Pi Phi is an organization that brings together so many women with diverse interests and backgrounds who share corresponding values.
We strive to bring the same sense of belonging, assistance, and recognition that we received going through recruitment to each woman who walks through the door of our suite. I hope that if you are considering joining a sorority at Drury, that you will give us a chance to do the same for you.
It is a privilege to serve as president of the Missouri Gamma chapter of Pi Beta Phi, and if it were not for these bonds I've created, I would have never developed the confidence it takes to lead as proudly as I do today.
Pi Phi Love and Mine,
