A Letter from the President

Welcome to the Official Website for the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at The University of Arkansas! I am so excited to serve this chapter as President this year and I look forward to all of the things that 2016 is going to bring to Arkansas Alpha. I will never forget the day that I became a Pi Beta Phi. At the time, I had no idea the impact that these women, this sisterhood, and Pi Phi would have on my life. These women of Pi Phi serve the community with philanthropic service to others and love to give back through our National Philanthropy, Read>Lead>Achieve, by reading to local elementary school children and helping make the annual Pi Phi 5K a huge success. My sisters support and encourage each other and their peers with sincere friendship. I have seen countless acts of integrity and constant honor and respect in this chapter. Arkansas Alpha is made up of over 400 women that live the core values of this fraternity and I believe that they will continue to do so with lifelong commitment well after they have graduated college. We are so proud to have members that strive to be the best they can be as students and members of their community with personal and intellectual growth. This chapter is composed of successful, driven, talented, encouraging, and loving women, and I am so proud that I get to call each one of them my sisters.

Pi Phi Love and Mine,

Makenzie Smith
