The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women is to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential, and enrich lives through community service. This website shows a glimpse into the life of a Pi Phi, and why we choose to make Pi Phi our home away from home.

Dear friends, sisters, and first-time visitors,

Hello and welcome to the Connecticut Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Yale University! I am so proud and honored to represent this incredible group of individuals as Chapter President. Pi Phi allows all of our members to cultivate unique friendships that focus on both supporting and challenging one through sisterhood activities, social events, and philanthropic projects. Whether we’re cheering on our athletes, sharing stories over our Phirst Phriday dinners, upholding our status as highest sorority GPA at Yale, owning the dancefloor at Highlight, or serving as leaders in different student organizations, we always have a smile on our faces when we’re with our sisters.

As the largest women’s organization on campus, we take our role as a voice for women seriously; Pi Phis consistently use their talents in inspiring ways throughout campus and in the greater community. Commitment to service is a guiding principle in our chapter, and our members are involved in Pi Phi’s literacy initiatives through volunteering and fundraising. We are particularly engaged in working with the Yale community to make our campus an inclusive and welcoming home for every member of the student body, faculty and staff. Our chapter has had national champions, non-profit founders, lead actresses, Yale College Council officers, a Rhodes Scholar, and so many more amazing young women. At any performance or sporting event, you will see Pi Phis in the audience or crowd cheering on their sisters.

As accomplished as Pi Phis are, what I find most notable about my sisters is their true friendship with one another. Pi Phi has been my family and my home at Yale, and I am so grateful for the irreplaceable bonds I’ve made through this organization. I cannot for a second imagine my Yale experience without these girls. We invite you to explore our website to get to know this unique sisterhood.

Pi Phi Love,
Holly Geffs, Chapter President 2017
