Meet The 2020-2021 Leadership Development Consultants

Pi Beta Phi is pleased to introduce the seven outstanding women serving as our 2020–2021 Leadership Development Consultants (LDCs). We look forward to all they will accomplish working with our chapters and empowering our sisterhood. Get to know more about the women serving below.

Caleigh Mae Greene, Louisiana Beta

What I want to accomplish this year as an LDC:
I want to make a long-lasting impression on the collegiate women I will be working with especially in the times we are living in. I want them to feel encouraged and supported despite the circumstances we are facing. I hope I am able to make an impact because I’ve felt that same support from other Pi Phi alumnae —whether it was a friend’s mom, an Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) member or a past LDC.
Most people don’t know, but I…love to watch TV and movies with the subtitles on!
Describe Pi Beta Phi in one word: Light
My favorite place in the world is: Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Christiana Holladay, Colorado Gamma

Christiana-Holladay.jpgMy favorite Pi Phi memory is: Living in the house when I was Chapter President. My best friends and I would have Nerf gun fights, sing in the bathroom and go to McDonalds for cookies. We were always having fun, even if we were studying.
Most people don’t know, but I… am born on Founders’ Day!
I wanted to be an LDC because: I want to empower women to see the best in themselves, cherish our sisterhood and accomplish their personal and chapter goals.
Who is your favorite TV character? Dwight K. Schrute. He is genuinely himself no matter the situation. He always makes me laugh while showing me how to stand up for what I believe in.

Sarah Moore, South Carolina Alpha

Sarah-Moore.jpgWhat I want to accomplish this year as an LDC: I want to spread positivity and inspire resiliency. We are about to start an academic year like no other. There are challenges collegiate women will be facing this year that are difficult and discouraging. I want to show them the value of our Fraternity and inspire them to continue to grow in their chapter.
One food item I could never give up is: Chocolate!
What is something you are looking forward to this upcoming year? I am looking forward to working with a wide variety of chapters. It fascinates me that we all are one sisterhood, yet each individual chapter is so unique. I cannot wait to learn more about what makes our Fraternity so special.
My favorite book is: Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom

Dorothy Ruoff, Montana Alpha

Dorothy-Ruoff.jpgWhat I want to accomplish this year as an LDC: I want to focus on creating lifelong friendships. Pi Phi has given me opportunities and mentors at every single turn. I want to spend this year continuing to focus on the Sincere Friendship at the foundation of Pi Beta Phi.
Most people don’t know, but I… have a lizard named Ted! He is a leopard gecko and his life expectancy is between 15-20 years.
What do you consider to be the most valuable thing you own? My grandmother’s sorority pin. My grandmother encouraged me to find the strong women in my life. I know she took the lessons from her collegiate experience to make the rest of her life meaningful and rewarding.
My favorite campus activity in college was: Being an Advocat Tour Guide. I loved walking backwards and getting to meet with prospective students.

Melissa Scott, Oregon Gamma

Melissa-Scott.jpgI wanted to be an LDC because: I want to support and strengthen each leader’s voice and confidence. Serving in Pi Phi leadership roles helps to develop critical leadership skills. I want to support the women who took that leap to grow during their collegiate membership.
Describe Pi Beta Phi in one word: Support
What do you consider to be the most valuable thing you own? I have this teal sweatshirt – or rather I took it from my mom – with horses running across the front. When I was away at school, it felt like a connection to my family and my support system. It is very old and worn, but one of the most comfortable and comforting items I own.
My favorite place I’ve ever visited away from home is: Washington D.C. I love it more every time I visit and was fortunate enough to visit for Convention 2019!

Rachel Selig, California Epsilon

Rachel-Selig.jpgWhat is something you are looking forward to this upcoming year? I’m looking forward to supporting chapters through the new and unique challenges they may face with virtual membership. I know these challenges will only help members grow as leaders and prepare them to be flexible in any situation!
Describe Pi Beta Phi in one word: Connection.
What do you consider to be the most valuable thing you own? My Chapter President ring which was given to me by my mom. Even though she was not a member of a sorority, she was so supportive of my membership in Pi Phi and she has seen the way it has helped me grow into a better leader.
Most people don’t know, but I… love to surf! I’m definitely a beginner, but I love the feeling of peace that comes when I’m on the water.

Stephanie Treanor, Arizona Gamma

Stephanie-Treanor.jpgWhat I want to accomplish this year as an LDC: I want to be the best support and resource to all the women I get the chance to work with. If I can create impact similar to that of the incredible Panhellenic women I’ve encountered, I will be more than thankful for my time as an LDC. I am beyond proud to watch these women lead with intention and confidence.
One food item I could never give up is: Buffalo Sauce
My role model is: My momma. I know it's cheesy, but it couldn’t be more true. She works hard at everything and never fails to make me laugh. She is such a giving and passionate woman. If I can be half the woman she is, I would be blessed.
Describe Pi Beta Phi in one word: Empowering

Our LDCs have virtual visits scheduled throughout the academic year. Their duties include officer education, leadership development, chapter organization, supervision of membership recruitment and assistance with new chapters.
