FDS500 Grants

Through the FDS500 program, Pi Beta Phi annually awards grants to First Book® recipient groups nominated by Pi Phi chapters and alumnae clubs. The grants are used to purchase $1,000 worth of new books from First Book, and the books are distributed to children in need.

Before nominating a group to receive an FDS500 grant, please view the webinar linked below. It provides important information about the nomination process and a code you’ll need to include in your nomination. After viewing the webinar, complete the form below to nominate a group for a grant.

FDS500 grants are funded through generous gifts to The Literacy Fund at Pi Beta Phi Foundation in support of Pi Phi's Read > Lead > Achieve initiatives. Pi Phi is honored to make an impact in the lives of children ... one child ... one moment at a time ... one life changed forever. We believe in the power of reading.

For more than a century, we've worked to inspire a lifelong love of reading that can unlock true potential, creating a more literate and productive society. Today, Pi Phis participate, donate and advocate for literacy through our Read > Lead > Achieve® reading initiatives — just as our sisters first did in 1912.
