FDS500 GRANTS

Through the FDS500 program, Pi Beta Phi annually awards grants to First Book® recipient groups nominated by Pi Phi chapters and alumnae clubs. Fifty grants will be used to purchase $2,000 worth of new books and school supplies from First Book, and the books and supplies are distributed to children in need. Thank you to the chapters and clubs that nominated organizations to receive an FDS500 grant! See the full list of 2023 grant recipients here

Nominations for FDS500 grants are now closed, but will reopen in September 2024. If you have questions about the FDS500 program or Pi Phi's Read > Lead > Achieve® initiatives, please contact our Program and Literacy Coordinator.

FDS500 grants are funded through generous gifts to The Literacy Fund at Pi Beta Phi Foundation in support of Pi Phi's Read > Lead > Achieve initiatives. Pi Phi is honored to make an impact in the lives of children ... one child ... one moment at a time ... one life changed forever. We believe in the power of reading

For more than a century, we've worked to inspire a lifelong love of reading that can unlock true potential, creating a more literate and productive society. Today, Pi Phis participate, donate and advocate for literacy through our Read > Lead > Achieve® reading initiatives — just as our sisters first did in 1912.
