Highlights from Pi Beta Phi’s 75th Biennial Convention
From iconic celebrations to honorable awards and Fraternity business, Convention 2025 renewed a sense of Pi Phi Pride and dreamed of a bright future for our sisterhood. Check out some of our favorite moments below!
Thursday, June 19
Energy was high as Pi Phis from all over the world touched down in Louisville and checked into the beautiful Galt House Hotel! Some members began reconnecting right away by gathering at affinity group meetups.

To officially kick off convention, attendees gathered at the historical Churchill Downs to enjoy each other’s company, meet Grand Council and experience the thrill of live horse racing—in style with fascinators and colorful dresses!

Friday, June 20
To mark the official start of convention programming, members recited the evolved meeting Ritual together for the first time and heard an inspiring keynote from Texas Alpha Gay Warren Gaddis.

At the Friends and Leaders for Life Lunch, Pi Beta Phi Foundation recognized Alabama Gamma Kathy Wager Sprague with the inaugural Ann Dudgeon Phy award for Foundation Service and announced reaching $1 million for the Local Impact Grants Program! Read more about this notable achievement.

California Epsilon Anna Fisher, former NASA astronaut and the first mother to go to space, was honored as our 2025 Member of Distinction.

Fraternity business sessions followed with officer elections, legislation and the charter presentation of the Ohio Zeta Chapter and the Flathead Valley, Montana, Alumnae Club.

The day closed with fun celebrations at Dinner by Chapter, the Chapter Banner Parade and the Diamond Disco!

Saturday, June 21
The last day of convention was filled with celebration, recognition and reflection. Together, we...
Welcomed three new Pi Phis into our sisterhood.

Remembered sisters who are no longer with us—with a special tribute from Ann Dudgeon Phy’s daughter, Texas Alpha Elizabeth Phy, and her son, Lee, as well as a tribute from Ginny Bland Fry’s son, Tad.

Celebrated Pi Phi’s 350,000th member and enjoyed a Cookie Shine.

Raised $100,900 for the Friendship Fund at Halo Heaven and Remember Garden.
Awarded the Service in Sisterhood “SIS” award to Kentucky Beta Karen Emberton and the Dorothy Weaver Morgan Award to Tennessee Gamma Kathy Swinea Nevill. Learn more about the winners here.
