During the 75th Biennial Convention, attendees witnessed a truly historic moment in Pi Beta Phi’s history—the first-ever recitation of our evolved meeting Ritual. This moment was years in the making and symbolized our commitment to honoring our heritage while ensuring every member feels seen, valued, and included.
At convention, we marked this change together. With pride and reverence, the Convention body recited the evolved meeting Ritual for the first time—honoring the work of the Meeting Ritual Research Committee, the care of Grand Council and the legacy of leaders like Emma Harper Turner and Anna Hazelton.
This evolution connects our past to our present and carries us boldly into Pi Phi’s future—together.
During the 2023-2025 biennium, Pi Beta Phi celebrated a historic milestone—initiating our 350,000 member, making us the second National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) organization to reach this achievement. But while this moment highlights Pi Phi’s lasting impact, it also invites an honest conversation about the complex realities of membership growth across the Fraternity.
Every great organization is built on the strength of its people—and for Pi Beta Phi, that strength shines brightest through our volunteers. At Convention 2025, we celebrated the more than 2,300 Pi Phis who currently serve in volunteer roles, supporting everything from chapter advising and housing to governance and education. These women are the lifeblood of our sisterhood—mentors, leaders and advocates who give their time, talents and hearts to help Pi Phi thrive.
Pi Beta Phi’s future is shaped not only by the experiences of today’s collegians but also by the commitment and generosity of our alumnae. During Convention 2025, leaders from across the enterprise shared a unified message: to secure our sisterhood for generations to come, we must engage and activate alumnae in new and meaningful ways. That means renewing our focus on two core behaviors—paying international alumnae dues and making philanthropic gifts to our Foundation.
Philanthropy has always been a defining thread of the Pi Beta Phi story. Since our founding, Pi Phis have believed in the power of generosity—not just as an act of giving, but as a shared responsibility to strengthen our sisterhood for generations to come.
Pi Beta Phi’s chapter facilities—whether full residential houses, lodges, or meeting spaces—are the backdrop for countless friendships, life lessons and defining sisterhood moments. The housing needs of our chapters are evolving, and Pi Phi is adapting to ensure that these spaces remain welcoming, sustainable, and aligned with the Fraternity experience today.
From handwritten rosters and carbon copies to cloud-based platforms and real-time data, Pi Beta Phi has come a long way in how we use technology to connect, operate and lead. During Convention 2025, we celebrated one of our most ambitious digital transformations yet—the successful launch and early impact of BetaBase, our new member portal. This platform marks a major step forward in how Pi Phi serves its members—and how members engage with the Fraternity.
Since 1910, Pi Beta Phi has championed the cause of literacy—not as a trend or campaign, but as a fundamental expression of our values. At Convention 2025, we reaffirmed that commitment with renewed energy, fresh impact stories, and a reminder: our dedication to literacy is not just what we do—it’s who we are. This work is more than philanthropy. It’s a movement to empower others through reading, confidence, and opportunity.
During Convention 2025, Pi Beta Phi unveiled a bold new step in telling our story. Over the past two years, we’ve been on a mission to better understand what makes Pi Phi shine—from the way our members describe sisterhood, to how our values show up in action, to what sets us apart in the hearts of our members. The result? A refreshed brand narrative that is distinctly Pi Phi—and designed to connect with today’s members, tomorrow’s leaders, and generations to come.
If there’s one truth that echoed through every moment of Convention 2025, it’s this—It's always a good day to be a Pi Phi. Throughout the weekend, leaders from across the organization spoke honestly about challenges, decisions and change. But they also spoke with deep pride—because despite everything, Pi Beta Phi is thriving. And more than that, Pi Phi is growing in all the ways that matter.
