Pi Beta Phi Announces Michelle RhodesBrown as Senior Director of Finance

Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is pleased to announce Michelle RhodesBrown, CFA, has been selected as the organization’s Senior Director of Finance. Michelle will oversee all financial operations and spearhead the financial strategy for both Pi Beta Phi and the Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC). As a member of the Headquarters Leadership Team, she will collaborate closely with Grand Council, the FHC Board and senior staff to bolster the organization’s financial resilience and long-term sustainability.

“Michelle brings not only exceptional financial acumen but also a deep dedication to mission-driven leadership,” Fraternity and FHC Executive Director Shawn Eagleburger said. “Her expertise, passion and collaborative spirit position her to play a pivotal role in strengthening our future as an organization.”

Michelle’s distinguished career includes her most recent role as Chief Financial Officer at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. In that capacity, she managed a $20 million budget, fortified investment and banking relationships and implemented forward-thinking financial systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency and transparency. Her prior experience spans leadership roles at Biegel Waller Investment Advisory Services, Integra LifeSciences, Profit Investment Management and foundational finance and audit training at Deloitte & Touche.

Her service extends beyond her roles in the professional sector; she has held several leadership positions within Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., including National Finance Chair. Michelle has also contributed her financial expertise through board roles with CareFirst, Inc., the Maryland State Retirement and Pension Board and the Delta Research and Educational Foundation. Michelle holds an MBA in finance and accounting from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BSE in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
